Open Dialogue

Don’t trouble my waters
If you’re not willing to fully
Submerge

Don’t look to me for answers
If you’re not prepared
To listen and learn

Don’t question my motives
If you’re starting point
Begins from doubt

Don’t mute out my thoughts
With your indifference
Causing your pauses to
Sound very loud!

Instead

Approach me with simplicity
Let innocence cover your heart
Approach me with expectancy
I’ll gladly respond
To your touch

Approach me with positive dialogue
Let reason be our chaperone
And when the moments spent are over

Let good memories
Follow us home……

My quiet father taught me
Son, consider actions before words
Then look to what has not been done
Next consider the spirit of words
Only then consider words exchanged
