Accommodate
The never ending struggles
Of a heart
Trying not to become
Overweight
With
The cares
Of
This life

It’s a dichotomy
For sure
As journeys always require
One to be equipped
With everything
You could possibly
Need
And more
But this time
My mind tells me
No!

The more cares you take on
The more burdens
You will endure
So
Excuse me if I don’t
React
In the way
That I did
Before

I’m still here to
Listen to you
Laugh with you
Even be someone you
Can hold

On

To

But I’m unable
To
Store
Up those emotions
That has a tendency
To reside
Taking so much from me
Making it hard to be objective
Losing my perspective
Only seeing as far as
My physical eyes will let me

Its time to travel light…..
