THE ARTIST IN ME

Creativity impregnated me
And little did I know
Felt kinda funny
But no physical signs would show
Doctors said there's nothing wrong with me
But still didn't feel quite right
Until I put my pen to paper
And these words I began to write:
You’re giving birth to dreams and visions
Through the use of Spoken Words
Your 8cm dilated and if you push harder
Your voice will soon be heard!
Now take slow deep breaths at short intervals
Now push, let these words flow right through
And if you just wait just for a second
Here it is,
It’s the Artist now coming out of You!

Every now and then love falls
Leaving its imprint in our earth
Inscribed in words winged & weighed
Though ears may not always hear
Hearts decipher the dirtied texts
Admitting messages of supple love

this is very figurative
your poems are based on life's experiences i suppose.
i wonder if you mean that it is difficult to bring out the artist in you in this poem as birth is a difficult and painful experience .Is it a long process trying to bring express yourself in words.jo
